Available on Payroll: UK eOS DIY Payroll
Available for the following users: Admin, Owner, users with CSS pay run access
The Warnings tab has been introduced to help you identify and resolve payroll issues before finalising. It is available in UK eOS Payroll groups and shows all system-detected issues for your pay run in one place. This makes it easy to review and address items like employees paid below minimum wage, exceeded time off caps, or payroll inconsistencies.
Before you start, make sure your organisation is using eOS DIY payroll, and has core payroll settings enabled.
This article explains how to:
Review pay run warnings before finalising payroll
This section shows you how to view and act on system-detected warnings for a pay run, so you can address issues before finalising payroll.
Review pay run warnings
- Log in to Employment Hero as an Admin, Owner, or a user with CSS pay run access.
- Go to Payroll > Pay Runs.
- Select the pay run you want to review.
- If there are one or more system-detected warnings, a Warnings tab will appear in the pay run navigation, with a badge showing the total number of warnings.
- Select the Warnings tab to view all warnings grouped by type. Each group shows a plain-English description (for example: "7 employees have reached their time off cap").
- Expand a warning type by clicking on it to see the names and details of affected employees.
- Select an employee name to jump directly to their row in the pay run table for further review or action.
- If the warnings are still loading, a loading indicator will appear. If there is an error loading warnings, you will see the message: "Failed to load warnings. Please try again."
- Click Try again to retry without refreshing the page.
- The warnings shown reflect the state at the last pay run calculation. Warnings are refreshed automatically when you trigger Recalculate in the pay run.
