Benefits in Kind Report

The benefits in kind report lists all the benefits in kind recorded for the selected basis period. The report is purely for information purposes only an gives an indication of which employees should have an Appendix 8A form produced at the end of the basis period. The electronic lodgement and reporting to the IRAS is covered under the IRAS Lodgement report.

The following filters are available:

  • Basis period
  • Employing Entity - this filter will only show if a business has employing entities set up
  • Employee - uses the employee's 'preferred name' if one has been entered on their Employee file > Details page
  • Employee Default Location - refers to the employee's default location as set on their Employee file > Pay run defaults page




In addition to the Employee NRIC/FIN number, Employee name and Employing Entity, the benefits in kind data has been separated into 4 categories, as per the Appendix 8A form. They are:

  1. Place of residence:
    1. Address
    2. Period of occupation
    3. No. of employees


  2. Accommodation and related benefits:
    1. Annual value
    2. Furnished
    3. Rent paid (Employer)
    4. Rent paid (Employee)
    5. Utilities
    6. Driver
    7. Upkeep

  3. Hotel accommodation
    1. Cost
    2. Employee paid


  4. Others
    1. Incidentals
    2. Interest
    3. Insurance
    4. Holidays
    5. Education
    6. Fees
    7. Gains
    8. Motor vehicle
    9. Car benefits
    10. Other



The report can be displayed on screen or exported to excel.
