How to Change Employment Types

From time to time, employees may have to change their employment types. Within the payroll platform, there are a few settings that need to be changed to reflect this update.

Please note that you will need to make sure that the rule sets for the employee will match the changes, if required.

Change employment type
  1. Click the Employee menu.
  2. Click the List submenu.
  3. Click the name of the employee whose employment type needs to be changed.
  4. Under Employee Settings, click Statutory Details.
  5. Click the Employment Type dropdown button.

  6. Choose the correct employment type:
    • Permanent.
    • Part Time.
    • Management.
    • Contract.
    • Intern.
    • Other.
  7. Click the Save button.

Check primary pay category
  1. Click the Employee menu.
  2. Click the List submenu.
  3. Click the name of the employee whose employment type changed.
  4. Under Pay Run Settings, click Pay Run Defaults.
  5. Click the Primary Pay Category dropdown.
  6. Choose the correct pay category if it needs to be changed.
  7. Click the Save button.

Check leave allowance template
  1. Click the Employee menu.
  2. Click the List submenu.
  3. Click the name of the employee whose employment type changed.
  4. Under Pay Run Settings, click Leave Allowances.
  5. Choose the correct leave allowance template if it needs to be changed.
  6. Click the Save button.
