As well as the pension providers available via API through PensionSync, we’re enabling a small number of providers for CSV file download from payroll.
The process in payroll is to still link the scheme to PensionSync and submit to PensionSync at the end of the pay run, but once done there will be a new option to download pension files. These files download as a zip file for the user to select the files they need to upload themselves on to the pension provider's website.
The new provider options are:
- Royal London – all varieties of enrolment/contribution files for both payroll assessment and Royal London assessment
- True Potential – enrolment and contributions files and an additional file listing any leavers which require manual update at True Potential
- Other provider – this is a general, catch-all scenario, which lets you download a generic PAPDIS file that many providers accept.
PensionSync does not connect to the provider because they do not offer APIs. If you choose any of the above, you must set up your own contribution plans.
