The Qualifying Earnings Report helps you quickly identify what will be reported via STP as Qualifying Earnings (QE), whether for a specific pay run (draft or finalised) or across a date range, and can be viewed per pay run or per employee. It also highlights any instance where the super paid is less than the mandatory SG rate of an employee's qualifying earnings, so admins can investigate and correct it before lodging STP.
Click the Reports menu.
Under Payroll, click Qualifying Earnings Report.
-
Select from the following fields:
Date Range - There are multiple frequencies to choose from, as well as a 'custom range'. You can also click the two arrows icon if you want to select a specific pay run instead of a date range.
Location - Options include all locations or specific locations that have been set up already. You can select multiple locations as needed.
Employing Entity (if applicable).
Pay Schedule - Includes all pay schedules, weekly, fortnightly, monthly, and any other custom schedules that have been set up.
Employee - Filter the report to one or more specific employees.
Click the Run report button.

Super % vs QE
Identify employees where super doesn't meet the mandatory SG rate
The Super % vs QE column shows each employee's SG super as a percentage of their qualifying earnings for that pay run.
Rows where Super % vs QE is not equal to the mandatory SG rate are visually highlighted, so you can spot them at a glance and investigate before lodging STP.
Rows where Super % vs QE equals the mandatory SG rate appear with no highlight or warning.
