After creating a CPF submission, you can view a summary list of CPF contributions from the pay run before proceeding to lodge it with CPF.
Types of submission statuses
The payroll platform helps you identify the current status of the submission. The available statuses are:
- CREATED: Submission has been created but not yet lodged.
- FAILED: Submission was unsuccessful and requires attention.
- SUCCESSFUL: Submission has been lodged and accepted by CPF.
- SUBMITTING: Submissions which are currently being lodged to CPF. There is an automatic timeout of 3 mins to change to failed status if there are technical complications.
Key interactable fields in the CPF submission
Within the CPF submission, you can configure the following:
- CPF Submission Number (CSN): Select the relevant CSN number for the submission.
- Payment Mode: Choose the payment method, such as Direct Debit, PayNow, or MEPS.

CPF deduction date: this is only available if the selected payment date is direct debit.
- Note: In the event there is a late submission, the deduction date must be 2 or 3 working days from the submission date depending if the submission is before or after 5.15pm.
- CPF Late Interest Payment: Enter the late interest payment amount, if applicable.
Summary report
The summary report provides an overview of key figures from the CPF submission, including:
- Total Number of Employees: Total employees included in the submission.
- Total Employee CPF Contributions: Combined contributions by employees.
- Total Employer CPF Contributions: Combined contributions by the employer.
- Total Skills Development Levy (SDL): Reflects the actual rounded-down total of SDL payments from the pay run. CPF contributions for SDL per submission is to be rounded to the nearest dollar.
- Total MBMF Contributions: The summed total of Mosque Building and Religious Education Fund (MBMF) and Mendaki contributions.
- Total SINDA Contributions: Total contributions to the Singapore Indian Development Association (SINDA).
- Total CDAC Contributions: Total contributions to the Chinese Development Assistance Council (CDAC).
- Total ECF Contributions: Total contributions to the Eurasian Community Fund (ECF).
- Total Donations to Community Chest: Contributions to the Community Chest.
- Total CPF Late Interest Payment: Amount for late interest payments, if applicable.
- Grand Total: The total payment amount to CPF, including all contributions and payments.
The summary report can be downloaded in PDF or Excel format, making it easy to review and share.
Lodge with CPF
Once you have reviewed the income details for your CPF submission:
- Click on the Lodge with CPF button and this will now start the acknowledgement process that you are required to complete to begin the submission process.
- Click the declaration of “Tick this box to sign this declaration with the credentials you used to login <Admin user Name>."
- Then, click Log in to SingPass to begin the authorisation process.
- Upon clicking on Login To SingPass,a second browser tab will open where you are required to login with your SingPass credentials in order to verify your identity and authorise the submission of CPF payments.
- After successfully logging in to SingPass, you will be prompted to click approve the permission to send the submission data to APEX.
- After Approval, you will be redirected back to the original window of the CPF submission within the payroll platform where it will show the status of your submission.
- Upon a successful submission, you will be able to see the full status of all actions completed for the CPF submission.
