Inland Revenue Reconciliation Report

During the End of Financial Year process, businesses are required to reconcile items reported and paid to Inland Revenue to ensure everything has been reported correctly.

The IR Reconciliation Report can be found under the IRD reporting menu. The report can be filtered by date range, pay schedule, location, or employee. The report can be filtered by employing entity, if this has been set up.

This article outlines the following:

Getting started

Fields included in the IR Reconciliation Report

The report includes all the components that are reported to IRD via payday filing, including the taxable earnings for each employee. All columns except the taxable earnings are totalled at the end and this total should match the totals reported to IRD. The following fields are included:

  • PAYE
  • Student Loan
  • Child Support
  • Employee KiwiSaver
  • Employer KiwiSaver (Net)
  • ESCT
  • SLBOR
  • SLCIR

This report will show the totals of each month, but the Pay Run breakdown can be included if required. To do this, select the Include Pay Run Breakdown checkbox.

Filter the report by date range

The date range gives you a number of options to choose from such as Financial year or Last financial year or you can choose a custom range.

How to run and/or download the report
Once you have chosen the filters required for the report you can choose to run it to screen or download it as an excel or PDF. If the Include pay run breakdown was ticked, on screen you will see each month an arrow to the left of the month and when this is clicked, it will drop down and show the pay runs included in that pay period (see the screenshot below) IRreport03.jpg If the report is run to Excel or PDF with the Include Pay Run Breakdown checkbox selected, the pay runs will fall under the monthly totals.
